Python Job: Field Application Engineer (m-w-d) Europe

Due to continued growth of qiio®, we are offering the opportunity for a Field Application Engineer to become part of our fast paced and rapidly growing IoT company and to help in
our exciting journey to securely connect devices across the globe.

Field Application Engineer

As a Field Application Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical support of qiio® solutions, from Hardware to Cloud. You will work closely with our customers on Proof of
Concepts as well as Field Tests. You will help the customers to setting up a deployment strategy and advise on the best practices from the technical point of view. You will be working closely with the Head of Partnership and Sales, as well as the R&D team.

Tasks

Responsibilities

• Support the customers by advising or by developing prototypes as Proof of Concepts.
• Training the customers on qiio solution.
• Develop and prototype new concepts to extend qiio solution to new IoT use cases.
• Support internally the Sales team on the topics that requires high technical skills.

Requirements

Skills

• Very good knowledge on C programming and embedded system.
• Very good knowledge on python for fast prototyping is nice to have.
• Significant experience with cellular modems ( AT commands ).
• Very good debugging skills.
• Expert in networking ( TCP / UDP / Firewalls / Iptables / DHCP / NTP ).
• Expert in Linux OS ( User space / Kernel ).
• Familiar with industrial protocols such as Modbus, CAN, UART, SPI ...
• Previous experience with Azure cloud or other technologies.
• Very good communication skills and always willing to learn.
